This recent project for Meisel Capital Partners in Columbia, MD was completed in late October 2009. The project consisted of installing two Detex M2000 push operators on the main entry door (pictured) and the lobby door. Because these doors were rather heavy to push open manually, the M2000's Push-and-Go option was used to facilitate manual opening for everyone. MCP opted for the complete (3) year warranty option by allowing our electrical subcontractor, Blankenship Electric, to install a Leviton 5280 surge protected outlet inside the M2000 to protect even the electronic controls for three full years.
This recent project for 2800 Stone Cliff Condominium Association in West Baltimore, MD involved installing a Detex M2000 pull operator onto the garage door for residents to facilitate entry into the elevator lobby. The unit optimizes the Push/Pull-and-Go feature to allow facilitated entry for all walking pedestrians. In addition a handicapped push button enables operation in the fully automatic mode. The Condo Association took advantage of the optional (3) Year Full Warranty on the M2000 operator with electrical surge protection.
In June 2010 Scientific Social Services in Silver Spring, MD needed to automate a securitized 9th floor glass office entry door for a handicapped employee. Working with Social Scientific Service's security firm Datawatch Security; Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door installed a Detex M2000 operator that opens with Datawatch's security card swipe reader and a Push-to-Exit button. Now all of the employees benefit from the automatic door operator opening the office door for them.
In June 2010 The Intercontinental Harbor Hotel in Baltimore, MD and located on the waterfront at Baltimore's Inner Harbor requested that Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door install a L/P Detex M2000 Pull Operator for them on the doors that lead from the kitchen to the banquet and conference rooms. The food service personnel are very happy to have the door open automatically for them as they approach to reduce the number of mishaps they were experiencing while attempting to negotiate the open-in doors with heavy hand held trays . Management's reasoning was simple; they expect to reduce the high cost of losses of food, and expensive tableware while improving upon their food service level. IHG anticipates a rapid return on their investment.
This Summer of 2010 project for Assisted Living Well in Millersville, MD involved installing a single push Detex operator on the exit door to a patio in the rear of the building. A Bollard/Post was also installed on the patio to activate the door operator to ensure a safe reentry due to the limited clearance space. Now all of the mobile assisted residents can easily come and go as they please. Yes the Gourmet Chef is very very good. He was kind enough to provide a small taste of his delicious dinner menu after the installation was completed.
A Hanger prosthetics & orthopedics branch located in Salisbury, MD recently had Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door install a standard Detex M2000 push operator to their branch office's main entry door. The unit mounting and connection to the door was anything but standard, however. Due to the overhead space limitations and the extended frame depth, the M2000 operator was to mounted 10 inches away from the door frame onto a header wall. Connection to the entry door and the gear motor shaft was accomplished by modifying a heavy duty swing arm in the shape of an three inch tall "Z" by our machinists at Intercoastal Fabricators. In addition, an extra long connector rod was also utilized to complete the connection to enable safe, reliable, and consistent operation with the push of a button.
This recent installation at Springwell Assisted Living located in North Baltimore, Maryland involved installing a standard Detex M2000 swing door operator in the new Alzheimer's wing. Limited access /egress from the wing is accomplished by using an electromagnetic security lock. Activation is initiated by an authorized fob and proximity reader which signals the M2000 unit to begin its brief automatically timed open/close sequence.
In the summer of 2010 Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door was sub-contracted by A&M Glass to automate (2) original base buildings 446 & 447 on the PNAS for the US Navy. Each building received a new Heavy Duty steel main entry door. The project involved installing Detex M2000 operators on those HD doors and existing vestibule doors. The units are activated by a Sedco RF vestibule split button push button packages.
In February 2011 (4) Detex M2000- A019 operators were installed in the men's and women's restrooms for the National Epilepsy Foundation offices in Landover, MD. The Epilepsy Foundation elected to take advantage of the optional (3) year complete warranty.
This Project at Buzzuto's Enclave at Emerson in Laurel, MD in September 2012 was our third project for the Metro DC real estate developer Buzzuto Co. As with the other Buzzuto projects, this one also involved the installation and integration of a Detex M2000 automatic operator to the secure main entry door controls on all three of these multi unit buildings in the complex. So far the feedback has been nothing but positive about these new additions to the entry doors. The Enclave maintenance team is happy to not have the doors damaged due to high winds or younger residents who rush in and out.
This winter 2013 project at Christ Church's Harbor Apartments located on Baltimore's Inner Harbor involved installing (8) Detex operators on the building's heavy laundry room doors. Entry utilizes the unit's Push-and-Go feature. To exit the laundry room the tenant only need push an MS Sedco RF Push button.
In July 2013 the first Detex swing operator was installed in the Oncology Department in the Wayson Pavillion which is part of the Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD.
This recent project for Suburban Hill Apartments in Silver Spring MD involved installing two Detex Automatic Swing Operators in the front and back of this building for handicapped residents and those with strollers.

In March 2011 Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door was subcontracted by Hill Electric Co. of Atlantic City, New Jersey to install an M2000 automatic operator in the building manager's office in the Jefferies Tower Housing Community in Atlantic City, NJ. A tie-in with the existing card reader security system was required and was simply done with the on board controller in the M2000. With the M2000 installation the managers now have full automatic access control of their office door.
This Fall 2012 Atlantic City, NJ project for Altman Terrace located on Arctic & Pennsylvania Aves. is meticulously maintained Atlantic City public housing facility. This installation, along with Jeffery Towers, was the second installation for the Atlantic City Public Housing Authority completed with Hill Electric of Pleasantville, NJ. in the past two years. We look forward to assisting Hill on many more.
This project completed in March 2013 for PATCO in Camden, NJ involved mounting a Detex Twin Push operator in the newly renovated and handicapped accessible Ferry Ave station. Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door was subcontracted by AP Construction, the General Contractor, to install the Detex unit using an MS Sedco RF stainless steel push button activation package.
In the Spring of 2013 this new Canals Liquor store in Bridgeton, NJ chose to automate their Entry and Exit doors by installing (4) Detex swing operators on all of the doors. Activation is accomplished by using motion sensors. Good luck on the Grand Opening in June 2013
This project completed in November of 2014 at the Church of The Most Blessed Sacrament in Franklin Lakes, NJ involved installing (2) custom mounted Detex operators on the main entry and vestibule doors of the church and sanctuary.
In April 2010 Elizabeth Lillie the Director of the Monroe Public Library in Williamstown, NJ contacted Mid-Atlantic to install an automatic door for their brand new library. They elected to purchase the LP/Detex M2000 120VAC operator. With the Push-and-go feature utilized the door opens automatically even when pushed by hand. This feature by necessity has a much shorter cycle time compared to when the door is activated with either of the push buttons. The library staff is relieved to have the new automatic door operator since they no longer must leave the check out desk unattended in order to assist a handicapped patron.
A pair of Hunter/Entrematic sliding entry doors were installed at the Mediterranean Towers Fort in Lee, NJ and have been operating reliably for over a year under extreme wind conditions. This extreme is due to the 25 story tower's high stack pressure wind from the inside, and the steady high winds from the outside due to the building's elevated location along the Hudson River. The residents have enjoyed the hands free entry and exit because of the pair of Hunter/Entrematic single sliding doors from their building since the attended lobby and Hunter/Entrematic Sliders were added last year.
This ADA compliance project at the North Wildwood Community Center in the Summer of 2012 was the first of several planned installations for disabled residents and seasonal visitors to the ocean resort community of North Wildwood, NJ. The project consisted of an installation of a Detex Single Push Operator for the Senior Center's main entry.
This project at Ventnor on the Bay Condominiums in Ventnor, NJ involved modifying a Detex Single M2000 Pull Operator located on the exterior of the building. The modifications included setting up the M2000 to activate with an existing access control system and silcone sealing the entire exterior mounted M2000 header to prevent moisture intrusion from the ocean and the adjacent bay from entering the aluminum header to affect its performance.
In July of 2012 a Detex M2000 Push unit was promptly installed at Sabrina's Laundromat in Hamilton, NJ to facilitate their customer's ease of entry and exit from their Laundromat.
Working with the facilities manager of the Cape May County, NJ Social Services offices in December of 2011, an older obsolete swing operator on the main entry handicapped door was easily replaced with a Detex commercial grade A019-1 swing operator. With the new Detex replacement unit, the CMCSS office's ADA handicapped entrance will once again have many years of trouble free service. We look forward to working with the facilities manager in the near future to replace their other obsolete vestibule unit when it fails as well.
The newly opened Old Tappan Library in Old Tappan, New Jersey needed an economical and reliable automatic door system for their new facility. Head Librarian Susan Meeske contacted Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door to provide an estimate, and in a little over a month the board approved and the door operators are installed with a super-quiet power source. Even the tandem door operators are whisper-quiet.
In August of 2013 Bnai Keshet Synagogue in Montclair, NJ chose to install a Detex Operator on the main entry to their sanctuary for the elderly and wheelchair bound members.
In December 2012 ABCO FCU in Pemberton, NJ installed a Detex operator to the main entry of their Pemberton branch to become completely ADA compliant.
In March of 2013 three Detex operators were installed at the Sacred Heart Home for Priests located in Cherry Hill, NJ. They were installed to facilitate entry in and out of the building by the resident and retired Camden Diocese priests several of whom are using wheel chairs and walkers. Since the installation every resident priest is now able to come and go as he pleases and without the need for assistance from anyone else.
In December 2012 (2) Detex operators were installed in the new Gaia's Gourmet Market on Rt10 in Randolph, NJ. Gaia's elected to use a motion sensor to operate the market's exit door.
This recent project was completed in the Fall of 2010. The Township of Roxbury, NJ automated the main entry and lobby doors of the township offices. Because this entry is sees heavy use, the board opted to use the L/P Detex M2000 operators with the optional (3) year warranty. The Mayor's requirement was many trouble free years of continuous operation. We are confident he will be satisfied with the long term performance of our product and installation.
In the Spring of 2018 the Township of Berlin in Camden County, NJ installed a Detex swing operator in the Township complex Tax Office.

As of January 2013 in just three days Philadelphia's Lord & Taylor is now ADA compliant with (6) Detex swing operators for all of their patrons that require the Lord & Taylor doors open with the simple push of a button.
ONE International Plaza located at the Philadelphia International Airport needed to provide handicapped access for their main entrance of the Plaza and contacted Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door to make it happen in a timely manner. In about a week the installation was scheduled and two Detex M2000/A019 single operators were installed on the main entry and the vestibule/lobby glass doors. The interior vestibule door unit was custom-sized to fit in a very narrow location between fire suppression pipes located around the door frame.

This 2025 metro Philadelphia project for Immaculate Conception Church in Jenkintown, PA involved installing a custom sized Record ADA Operator paired with BEA Touchless Wireless activation switches on the elevator lobby entry door for easy access for those in wheel chairs, and those using walkers into the church. The new operator also allows for easy access to all of those who need to use the banquet hall beneath the church sanctuary as well.
In June of 2013 a Detex Pull operator was installed in office 4638 for a handicapped employee of the Security and Exchange Commission SEC at the head quarters in Washington, DC. Since the employee was a quadriplegic individual a motion sensor enables exiting his office, while entry requires just a light push on the automated door. Safety is never an issue for the employee or his coworkers with the reverse on obstruction features enabled.
In January 2013 The American Psychological Association located in Washington, DC quickly needed to make the 4th Floor ADA compliant with operators that tied-in with APA's existing 4th floor security system. Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door rapidly coordinated the installation and affordable upgrade to (3) Detex swing operators in less than two weeks.
In December 2012 Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door was hired to automate a pair of elegant solid oak entry doors to Christ's Episcopal Church in Kensington, MD. The project consisted of a Detex twin push operator that is programmed to operate to ensure safe opening and precise closing. The RF bollard post keeps the user at a safe distance away from the solid doors upon activation. However, the Detex door operators reverse on sensing an obstruction either opening or closing thus eliminating the need for costly safety sensors.
This Recent Project at the Woolly Mammoth Theater at 641 D NW Street Washington, DC in the Summer of 2012 was a straight forward installation of a Single Push Detex Swing Operator. Now the theater's main entry is ADA compliant.
Foxhall Condominiums on Massachusetts Ave NW in Washington, DC decided to automate several of the entry/exit doors for their older tenants using canes, walkers, and scooters. Their solution involved automating (4) securitized garage doors and (2) main entry and lobby glass doors using all LP/Detex swing M2000 operators. This project involved coordinating services with several their vendors including; Lopez Glass, Stanley/Safemasters Security, and Mona Electric. The multi-day project now enables the Foxhall tenants to continue to use their security key fobs for automatic entry into the building through any of the garage doors. A PIR (REX exit Sensor) detects them as they exit through the elevator lobby and automatically opens and closes the door for them on their way out. The Foxhall's main entry and lobby doors have individual push button activation for personal automatic entry and exit.
In the Fall of 2010 Mid-AtlanticAutomatic Door was subcontracted by Lopez Glass of Springfield, VA to install a Detex M2000 operator in the West entrance of the George Washington University Mall at 2000 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC. The M2000 unit was affordably custom coated to blend in with their existing decor and renovation of the GWU Mall. The optional (3) year complete warranty was also selected.
In the Fall of 2012 (6) Detex M2000 operators were shipped to the US Embassy in Seoul Korea for installation in a continuing effort to bring the US State Department's embassy into ADA compliance.
In December 2010 the National Defense University in Fort McNair in Washington, DC contacted Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door to make Lincoln Hall completely ADA compliant. To make it possible a cost effective LP/Detex A019 Pull operator was installed with RF pushbuttons. The positive pressure in the building was so strong that the Power Close and Seal features were utilized to fully close the door as it transitioned from closing to latching. The Seal feature keeps it closed when not in use.

The owners of The Bike Rack located at 1412 Q St Washington, DC are very customer service oriented. So to facilitate entry and exiting the shop's red door for their customers with bicycles the proprietors Wayne and Chuck selected Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door to install a Detex A019 commercial automatic operator. The installation was somewhat unusual because the swing arm needed to be modified by our fabricators at Inter-Coastal machine shop to accommodate and not interfere with the Overhead Security Door tracks. The Bike Rack is the best bicycle shop in the city of Washington and offers some of the highest quality bicycles on the market. It also has the best customer service too. We at Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door understand and appreciate that kind of approach to business.
Upstairs at Bethesda Row located on Arlington Ave in Bethesda, MD desired to automate their all glass securitized entry and vestibule doors. Management with the recommendation of Datawatch Upstairs' access security provider selected Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door. With the support of our installation support partners we installed two Detex M2000 / A019 operators inside of Upstairs' all glass entry and vestibule area. This project was not a typical installation. Upstairs' heavy 5/8" thick all glass doors proved to have unusual installation challenges due to the obstruction posed by the lobby door's existing security components. In addition, because the main entry's concealed door frame lacked the usual secure attachment points for a surface applied unit, a custom manufactured mounting bracket was fabricated and integrated into the vestibule to securely mount the Detex push operator on the main entry door.
This recent 2011 project at the historic New York Avenue Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC involved installation of two modified Twin LP/Detex operators to automate their Sanctuary vestibule doors and make them handicapped accessible. In addition, the original historic church was renovated from 1949 to 1950 with non standard sized doors therefore the modifications involved; shortening a standard LP/Detex 75.5" Twin Push and Pull M2000 header down to 64" wide. Another custom modification to the other Pull unit involved shortening a Pull arm, by our machinists at Inter Coastal Fabricators in short order, to accommodate an unusual wall angle in the Sanctuary vestibule.
The project above involved installing a commercial Handy Ramp at City Vista condominiums in Washington, DC in September of 2008. The commercial ramp provided the new tenants with the ability to easily move furniture and appliances from the ground level to the main service elevator level. The ramp quickly and assembles and easily mounts to the service landing with pins. Commercial Handy Ramps are capable of supporting 750lbs of loaded weight. When not in use the disassembled commercial Handy ramp easily stores out of the way under the service landing.

In the Fall of 2009 Yetka Kabobi in Rockville, MD chose to install (2) Hunter/Entrematic single slide automatic doors for their new restaurant and grocery store. The units have been operating trouble free since the installation.

This project at historic Christ's Episcopal Church located in Rye, NY in the Spring of 2012 involved a factory modification of a Detex Twin 75.5 inch push operator which was shortened to 46.5 inches to accommodate the church Narthex's twin 30 inch beautiful wooden doors. In addition to the modification of the Detex operator, a custom mounting plate was fabricated to securely mount the modified unit above the doors on their beautiful wooden frame and blend in inconspicuously. This customized automatic door installation completed the church's new access renovation of the court yard and the handicapped access ramp in time for the Bishop's visit in June. Verger Thorne is very happy with the smooth quiet consistent operation of his new Detex Twin operator and he's confident that the congregation and the Bishop will be very happy too.
This project in Poughkeepsie. NY at the Inn at the Falls involved mounting an LP/Detex M2000/A019 swing operator on the Inn's main entry. With an existing handicapped ramp and no automated entry ownership wanted to make their their Inn completely compliant for the coming ADA enforcement codes in 2012 but, more importantly, to welcome all guests respectfully and with dignity. By installing the LP/Detex operator this mandate has been satisfied and goal achieved. Management is very pleased to have made the investment in a reliable and critical component to this extraordinary facility.
In March of 2012 (2) factory modified Detex M2000/A019 twin operators were installed at the Hillman Women's Health Center on E.16th St. in Lower Manhattan New York just a few steps from Union Square. The goal was to provide easy open assistance for the beautiful but heavy pair of bronze framed glass doors seen in this photo along with another pair of doors inside the vestibule as well. Each unit was programmed to provide Push-and-Go assistance for everyone that uses this entrance. In addition, the reception personnel also have the ability to open one door of each unit with the push of a button to provide automatic entry/egress from the building for those individuals that might need additional assistance. Each unit was coated to match the finish of the original restored door frames and located in the vestibule to keep the aesthetics of the lobby consistent with the restoration plan for the new reception area.
In May of 2012 Giovanni Rana Restaurant opened his first restaurant in NY City at the Chelsea Market on 9th Ave. Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door was contacted to rapidly provide and install (3) Detex automatic operators for the wait staff that will be required to carry their orders from basement kitchen upstairs to the main dinning area. In order to facilitate their movement to and from the kitchen with their trays of food through three corridor fire doors management knew that these doors needed to be automatically opened with the push of a button. All three doors were outfitted with 6" round push buttons located close to the floor that are foot operated and located far enough from the doorway to ensure that a swiftly moving wait staff member will easily pass through the already opened door.
Tremont Ave Pawn shop recently moved into their new shop on Tremont Ave in the Bronx in the Spring of 2013. The existing front entry is now handicapped accessible for anyone that needs to enter with push of a button.
This new project completed in October 2013 at PS 155X on Brady Ave Bronx, NY involved automating (2) In Swing operators in the 3rd floor restrooms after hours.
This October 2013 Hunter slider project involved installing (2) Hunter/Entrematic surface applied single slides to create (2) controlled access locations in the renovated storage wing of American Self Storage on Staten Island, NY.
This new project for the Village of Bellerose, NY on Long Island involved automating the Town Hall's newly renovated entry with a standard Detex Push operator.
Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door was sub contracted by The Jefferson Group to install this custom All Glass Hunter/Entrematicsliding door for Best Pet's new offices on 94th Street in Manhattan in March of 2014.
In June of 2014 The Ukrainian Institute of America located on the corner of 5th Avenue and 79th Street had a customized Detex Twin Unit installed to assist in opening the very heavy lobby doors for pedestrians and automatically for the staff and the disabled. The custom sized Detex unit was easily integrated with the existing secure access system to open automatically with the existing Proximity Fob Sensor.
In September of 2014 (2) Detex Swing Operators where installed in the Greenwood Village recreation center in Manorville, NY on Long Island. The recreation center's main entry and vestibule are now ADA compliant with the installation.
This January 2013 project on 5th Ave. involved installing a heavily modified Detex Twin Pull operator to open and close doors built into the floor that connect the 3rd floor apartment to a 4th floor loft bedroom. A Sedco safety presence sensor was mounted directly above the door to prevent activation if someone was standing on the doors and accidental closing if someone was in the stairway.
This new project at the School of Visual Arts located on W 21st. in New York City involved installing (5) Detex operators for the main entries to the lecture halls and dormitories to accommodate their handicapped students.
In May 2016 Centerbridge Associates relocated to floors 11 & 12 of the Seagrams Building on Park Ave in NYC. Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door installed a custom 20' all glass pocket sliding door with electric locking capability and was integrated to activate with Centerbridge's secure access system.
This August 2017 project involved installing (2) Detex swing operators for the new US Fish and Wildlife Service’s regional Long Island office in Shirley, NY. With the Detex swing door operator installation the USFWS officially became ADA compliant.
This recent project done for the Chester Senior Center in Chester, NY involved installing two Detex twin swing door operators for the main entry.
This project located in Pedricktown, NJ involved installing a Detex ADA compliant operator in the Oldman Township municipal building.
This sliding door project for Signature Flight Service at the Westchester County Airport involved installing an Entrematic Single Slide to enable passengers with baggage to deplane from their jet directly into the remodeled passenger lounge. This was the first of three Entrematic sliding units that were eventually installed for the newly remodeled lounge.

May 2017 Twin Entrematic All Glass Sliders were installed at the Pound Ridge, NY Public Library main entry renovation.
This 2020 project for Par Pharmaceutical in Chestnut Ridge, NY involved installing Detex twin ADA entry door operators on main entries on buildings A&B. The ADA units were integrated with the existing secure access card readers for activation.
This 2019 Nanuette, NY project involved installing two Detex twin swing door operators for the Subzi Market. The operators were activated by MS Sedco motion sensors. Entry in and out of the market is now easier for all patrons.
In June of 2012 Mid-Atlantic was contracted by FFI Contractors of Wilmington, DE to replace a competitor's malfunctioning unit with a Detex Single Push operator on the existing handicapped entry of Brandywine High School in North Wilmington. BHS opted for the 3 year extended warranty, however, we are confident that the unit will operate reliably for many years to come.
In May of 2008 two automatic door operators were installed at the Wilmington Country Club to aid its elderly members with easy access to the club house.
This 2011 project in Wilmington, DE involved installing two Detex operators at the newly renovated and historic Garrett House. United Cerebral Palsy of DE renovated the historic location as its newest group home. The Detex operators are located on two secure doors accommodated by ramps. One ramp is located on the right side of the Garrett House and the other is located in the rear of the three story building. Located at 609 Washington Street, Garrett House was once the home of Ellwood Garrett, son of the renowned Wilmington abolitionist Thomas Garrett, for whom the new residence is named. Built in 1848, the original building had fallen into extreme disrepair by 2001, when it was acquired by the City of Wilmington.
In the Summer of 2009 and 2010 the Farrand Village Apartment Complex in the Wilmington, DE suburbs had requested of two M2000 Single Operators in two of their apartment buildings that are handicapped accessible. Currently the two units have been operating trouble free and management is very pleased with their maintenance free reliable operation.
This recent project done in December 2009 in downtown Wilmington, Delaware for 1 Commerce Center involved installing (2) custom sized Detex M2000 operators. Due to the building's older glass and aluminum door framing, the installations required swing arm modifications by our local machine shop. One unit was mounted above the main entry, the other unit was installed inside the building's vestibule and lobby. Automatic access into the building is gained with hard wired push buttons. Automatic egress from the building is performed by activating hard wired push buttons as well. The building tenants especially like the Push/Pull-and-Go feature that automatically assists them when opening the heavy glass doors manually. Management preferred the optional (3) Year Complete Warranty by simply having their electrician install a Leviton 5280 surge protected duplex outlet in each unit.
This May2025 project at the Millsboro, Delaware Library involved installing two Record ADA operators paired with BEA touchless wireless activation switches. At the main entry and vestibule doors.
This recently completed project in Herndon, VA involved installing (2) Detex operators on the second floor Men's and Women's restrooms. Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door handled every detail of the installation including the subcontracting of the 120 VAC electrical service to J & G Electrical Contracting in Alexandria, VA. Management liked the design features of the Detex M2000/A019 operator so much that they invited us to bid on another project at their adjacent building. We are confident that we may be doing business again very soon to assist them on their mission to make their buildings fully ADA compliant.
Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door was contracted recently by the United States Geological Survey in Reston, VA to install a Detex M2000/ A019 operator in the facility as soon as possible. Within a week the Detex operator was delivered and installed. Management was particularly pleased with the quiet operation of the unit, its multifunction controls, and the (3) Year Manufacturer's Warranty.
This first of two Northern Virginia expedited (completed in less than ten days) projects for Turner Construction involved installing a Detex operator on the first level entry of the Parking Garage ADA compliant for this Glebe Rd building in Arlington, VA. The other Fairfax, VA project enabled handicapped access inside a new Veteran Administration preion dispensary.
A Hunter/Entrematic Single Slide Was installed in the Fall of 2011 at 7 points Laundromat in Falls Church, VA. Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door partnered with Lopez Glass who assisted with the enlargement of the original swinging door frame to accommodate and the glazing of the new Hunter/Entrematic single slide frame. Mr Chen and his customers appreciate the convenience of the automatically opening door when coming or going with large bundles of laundry. Mr Chen is so thoroughly pleased with the performance and fit of his new Hunter/Entrematic sliding door he now wants to add another Hunter/Entrematic single slide to the other side of this building this coming Winter.
The US State Department's Federal Credit unions were in need of automated entries for three facilities located in Fort McNair in the District; Arlington, VA; and Alexandria, VA (pictured). Subcontracted to perform the installations of Detex M2000 swing door operators, Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door conducted installations in the three consecutive months of the summer of 2010 as requested. Now these Federal Credit Union locations are ADA compliant.
Gates Hudson Associates; the Property Management firm that manages the Arlington Gateway Building on N. Glebe Rd in Arlington, VA wanted to make their subterranean parking garage building entry doors handicap accessible. After consulting with Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door about the best fit for their application, a Detex pull operator was fitted on Level One's building access door located directly across from the designated handicapped parking. The plan calls for 2-3 more for the other lower parking level lobbies in early 2010. By then Gates Hudson will have enjoyed a year of trouble free service from their Detex operator.
In June, 2009 Foster's Grille, located in Winchester, VA, franchise owner Elizabeth Wright took advantage of an ADA Tax Credit to offset the total cost of her Handicap Access project by 50% including installation. Elizabeth elected to have us install a standard Detex M2000 automatic swing door operator with push button activation. Elizabeth opted for our Optional Surge Protection Package which provides her with a full (3) year warranty on the mechanical and electrical components combined. In addition, her main entry now opens and closes in a more controlled and customer friendly manor. Since the installation of the automatic door operator Mrs. Wright has received several compliments and recommendations from her non-handicapped and handicapped patrons. (It certainly helps that the food served is very tasty too.)
This March 2008 in Alexandria, VA the D. family knew that when Mr. D returned from the hospital with one or both of his hips replaced, he would need a simplified way to get in and out of the home. Mrs. D elected to have Mid-Atlantic Automatic Door. erect and install a PVI Modular ramp to ensure their easy access in and out of their home. As is evident by this photograph the PVI Modular Ramp System is solidly constructed with stable aluminum components and is also attractively designed. These modular systems are available in a variety of configurations to accommodate most residential entries. Oh and by the way, Sam their dog likes it a lot too
This recent project in Annandale, VA involved installing a pair of Detex swing operators on the main entry of this building for Commercial Management Corporation of Silver Spring, MD. The project took only (4) hours to complete. The tenants and management are very pleased with the result .
